Just Hold Tight

Just hold tight edge detail

Just hold tight detail

Just hold tight
Watercolor and mixed media collage with vintage notebook paper

When the waters rise and the wind whips and wails ... halten wir uns fest. Let's dig deeper into our foundations and hold on tight to one another. We may look a bit rickety and weathered on the outside, but the more our lives intertwine in the sharing of Truth, the more our stories branch out and intersect in love, the stronger we become.

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12, New Living Translation).

Catherine is one of those friends the Lord has placed in my path to be such an encouragement to me, especially in my art and writing. Check out her blog when you get a chance, and my interview there!

Happy weekend,
Sadee

  2. "We may look a bit rickety and weathered on the outside, but the more our lives intertwine in the sharing of Truth, the more our stories branch out and intersect in love, the stronger we become." --- WOW this makes me all silent. Words of wisdom with a great mixed media artwork. The notebook paper makes it extra special. :) Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Love the interpretation, the translation... and the sensation it provides of security, strength and love when all of it comes together! Nicely done.

    1. Thanks for your encouragement! Glad you felt the sense of security there too, even with those slender stilts in the wild waves.

  5. So true! Loving this piece Sadee! I've been having a hard time getting back into blogging. Searching for where it fits this season of life. I have enjoyed the inspiration and encouragement from the artists and families with little ones that have down syndrome.... Thank you for being part of my community.
